A “Shifting Season” Of Extraordinary Exploits Is Ahead Of Us.

conflict-zone-copyWhy do I say this? I will list my reasons, but for now let me say that every time there is a change of gigantic proportions in the world, it’s also a sign that Father God is on the move and doing His thing.

First the natural then the spiritual….

“However, the spiritual is not first, but the natural, and afterward the spiritual.” ~1.Cor.15:46

Scientists believe that in the beginning of all things, there was a shaking in the universe, the Big Bang if you will. The result of such a shaking in the universe caused according to them the beginning of all things. It shouldn’t be a surprise to know that right after that; the history of mankind begins with Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden. If we follow the greatest events of Bible history well find out that are preceded by great manifestations on the earth. Read for instance the book of Revelation and you will discover the same pattern applies.

For those who are believers and know their Bible history let me ask the question. Remember what happened on the day of Pentecost in Jerusalem? There was a manifestation of the Holy Spirit. Obviously, what happen that day you can say was spiritual. On the other hand, the reality was that this event had a dual application. First, it took place in Jerusalem among human beings. Not with spirits or in the spirit realm.

Second, the fact remains, it was an earthly event, noticeable by people in the City of Jerusalem, witnessed by real people and recorded in history. Let me ask the question, what happened after that event?

The followers of Jesus begun to do the most dramatic chain of miracles that the world had ever seen.

“Therefore they stayed there a long time, speaking boldly in the Lord, who was bearing witness to the word of His grace, granting signs and wonders to be done by their hands.” ~Acts 14:3

Could it be that we are approaching a time when biblical history is about to repeat itself?

“And it shall come to pass in the last days, says God, That I will pour out of My Spirit on all flesh; Your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, Your young men shall see visions, Your old men shall dream dreams.” ~Acts 2:17

It’s important to put things in perspective. First, the Last Days is not referring to say the last days before a person dies. This expression speaks of a segment of eternity. It could very well be that we can be entering into that phase but it is no indication the world is about to end. One day is like a thousand years and one thousand years is like one day in God’s economy. All I’m saying is it can very well be that this particular piece of eternity will be preceded by a shaking that will be witness by the whole planet.

It doesn’t have to be one event but a series of events. In other words what happened the day of Pentecost could very well be the last event prior to the great manifestation that initiated that piece of eternity.

Today we are witnessing this world is in great turmoil, to say the least, that can be in my opinion an indication that a season similar to what happened after Pentecost is being ushered in. Do you know what a shifting really means? It means that the grace and anointing that God had placed on let’s say things that once were causing great spiritual manifestations has ended. Why?, because the anointing that was placed on those things are now being lifted off by God. What happened during that season will no longer work now! God is ushering in something new. I believe this is what is taking place right now. Maybe we will explore this “shifting” further in my next Blog.

My Last Word For 2016

handsSeating in front of my computer to write my last Blog on the last day of the year, the first scenario that comes to mind is this:

“After the death of Moses the servant of the Lord, it came to pass that the Lord spoke to Joshua the son of Nun, Moses’ assistant, saying: Moses My servant is dead. Now therefore, arise, go over this Jordan, you and all this people, to the land which I am giving to them—the children of Israel. Joshua 1:1-2

Let’s break down these two verses to find the final word of 2016.

  1. Moses is dead. A great season of sign, wonders, miracles and great events in the life of the Jewish people was coming to an end. 365 days are just passing; you can categorize them as a season. It may have been the greatest you had in many years, but the fact remains 2016 is dead. There is nothing you or I can do to bring them back. Yes, of course, the great moments are now part of our memories, and the results can be cherished and enjoyed, but the fact remains 2016 is dead.
  1. Now therefore, The early rays of a brand new dawn are beginning to hit you in the face. Maybe you thought the accomplishments of 2016 were good enough for you to relax, take it easy, go on a long vacation, etc. Nothing doing, a new day is calling, and it is saying loudly, ARISE! Do not make that mistake. Your triumphs of 2016, huge as they were, will not suffice for the success of a New Year. New Level-New devils!
  1. Go over this Jordan. I see a strong paradigm shifting on the horizon of the upcoming year for many people. You can very well be one of them. The Jordan represents the past or 2016. Now we got to get over that. Prepare to face the change coming your way. Avoid dwelling in the success or failure of 2016. As terrible as your situation might have been this year, you need to put it behind you. Perhaps you were told you have an incurable disease or just got divorced or laid off from your job or lost your house or a dear one. I hear the Lord saying go over that hump! You must. Get over it period.
  1. You and all this people. At times we forget we are not alone. We live in a community of people. It does not matter if you have a family or not. There are people looking at you. There are those who consider you valuable and important in their lives. The decisions you make can affect them. They are counting on you to make the right choices for them. Even your cat is hoping you would go to the store for him and get some food or your dog hoping that you would take him for a walk. The people in your life deserve your best so get over what happened in 2016!
  1. To the land which I am giving to them. Hope is a target and faith is what gets you there. There are unfulfilled promises that you and those who walk with you were hoping to see in 2016, but it did not happen. I remember when I was a kid we used to sing a chorus that would say “24,000 promises are mine, 24,000 promises are mine” Well, you can’t find in the Bible, that God made that many promises to His children, but I didn’t care! I would claim those and more if I had to. I want to encourage you. Maybe you are sterile, and your life’s desire is to be a mother. Well, that is a promise that God can fulfill for you in 2017. Forget that it didn’t take place in 2016. Get a hold of the fact that it is a real promise and it can happen in 2017. Be confident of the fact that He will be with you in the new season as He was with you in 2016! Open your arms and receive the new with gladness and treasure the great moments of 2016.

A Turmoil Season Is Ahead of Us

9-copyThis is the November Blog, yet I’m quite aware the end of 2016 is just around the corner. The first thing I have to say is I don’t remember ever writing so much about any of the Jewish years except for the present one which is called “The year of the clashing of swords.”

The election of Donald Trump is introducing America to an unprecedented season. Not that we have never confronted times of disagreement and turmoil as a country. There has been many. The difference this time around is I will be witnessing and participating as a member of the Church in this upcoming confrontation.

It will be a clashing of ideas even within the Body of Christ. I remember attending a conference in Pasadena California, convened by the late Peter Wagner, at the turn of the Century. Most of the streams of Christianity were in attendance. The central topic of discussion had to do with the restoration of the office of Apostle. Later in the following year, 2000 to be exact, the Third Reformation, a movement still going on, was launched near Texas under the International Coalition of Apostles.

I predict the upcoming clash of ideas will be such a wave, like the Church has never seen. It will be like a Tsunami comprising of all the different streams of Christianity nothing like what happened at Pasadena. This time will be like a hand to hand combat at all levels. Here are some things you will have to watch for:

  1. An increase of confrontation between the resurgence of a fresh group of Christian voices and those who will not only oppose them but will hold demonstrations to defend their positions. Elmer Gantry kind of activity comes to my mind.
  2. Confrontations in schoolyards and college campuses will take place.
  3. A resurgence in radio, as new personalities with controversial views will hold new programs opposing Christian positions.
  4. Young Prophets of God will finally be invited to participate in live discussions, not like the presidential debates, but more like forums in which different views will be making news.
  5. A small cloud of Christian crusaders will arise in the land. They will be the new Luther’s and reformers defending Christian worldviews, invading the Internet; their positions will be widely spread like wildfire and red meat to the liberal media.

These are only five of the most prominent things that I see will occur in the days ahead. My advice to Christian leaders and believers, in general, is to become real students of the Word of God. Prayer as always will be the ingredient that will glue all things together. Get ready for the most exciting time of your life!

Much Love,

A. Carlos

Four Ways Angels Can Be Activated In Your Favor

angel“For He shall give His angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways.” -Psalm 91:11

I remember driving from my country of birth Nicaragua towards the United States many years ago. It was one of those adventures you take when you are young, and you feel you can do anything. I was living in New York at that time, so you can imagine how many miles I had to drive. Look at Nicaragua on the map, and you can figure it out.

It was getting dark I could see the sun setting and the night falling as a dark blanket silhouette over the horizon. I was on a high mountain in Guatemala near the Mexican border. All of a sudden a red light went on in the dashboard. It showed the battery was dying. The car stopped. We were on a dirt road, no lights, no nothing. In a matter of minutes, the whole mountain was in complete darkness.

I looked at my brother in law, who was riding with me; we were both stunned! We didn’t know what to say to each other. I got out of the car, lifted the hood and smoke started to come out. The unexpected had happened. We were stuck right in the middle of nowhere. My concern was we had USA plates, we were easy targets, sitting ducks for those looking to take advantage of traveling tourists. A few cars passed us without stopping. The only thing I could do was pray in silence. It was getting darker and darker as time went by. The car battery still had a little charge, enough to have the parking lights or fog lights on in the meantime.

As believers, the first thing we need to know when confronted by unexpected dangerous circumstance is the following: We are not alone! “For He shall give His angels charge over you, to keep you in all your ways.” Psalm 91:11 He will dispatch or release His angels to assist and protect you.

I would say an hour passed by. Suddenly I saw the lights of a vehicle approaching from behind us. A man got off a mini-bus and asked me, what was the problem? I told him I needed I boost. He did that, and my small Dasher Volkswagen went on. Then he said, I’ll go slowly ahead of you. We were heading down the road when everything came to a sudden stop. No more lights, no nothing. I could only see the mini-bus leaving us behind. I remained seated behind the wheel.

Again, we became surrounded by darkness. I had never seen so much darkness in my entire life. I could hardly see the face of my brother in law seated right next to me. 5 minutes went by. It felt like an eternity to me. Suddenly I saw the reverse lights of a vehicle backing up. It was the same man. He got off and said to me, “I’m going to push you from behind until we get to the next town.” Oh, that was music to my ears. When we arrived at the little village, he came to me and said, “I know a mechanic in this town I’m going to see if I find him wait here.” He came back with him saying to him, “Take care of him until tomorrow and make sure you fix his car.” The man said, ok. Then he left.

While this was taking place, I experienced such a peace and confidence during the whole process. We slept in the car that night; in the morning the mechanic fixed our car. When I asked him about that man, he said that he would only see him from time to time.

I have never forgotten that experience. As I narrate it to you, I vividly live and experience God’s presence. I can assure you, that man was an angel sent by God to protect us from suffering any harm.

This is one of the ways He keeps us safe. Next month I will discuss three other ways.
Much Love, come back next month for the conclusion of this Blog.

During A Spiritual Attack Avoid Distractions

boxerpunchedinfaceHave you heard the boxing expression, “The punch that you don’t see is the one that knocks you out?”

You can’t afford to be distracted by anything when under a spiritual attack. The most important reason is you need to be all ears to the directives of the Holy Spirit. One thing is to avoid paying too much attention to one specific thing, and another is purposely not wanting to take your eyes away from the one who’s trying to take you out. The moment the enemy declares war against you, the Holy Spirit will engage him right away. You are not alone when fighting a spiritual battle. Jesus said,

“And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another advocate to help you and be with you forever” -John 14:16

“…Because God has said, “Never will I leave you; never will I forsake you.” -Hebrews 13:5

I know it feels like you are all alone when you are at the center of a spiritual attack. But the truth is you are not. Would you leave your child alone in a cave of wolves? I don’t think so. Here is a very important tip you need to know when under siege.

The Lord is going to send you help. It may come in different forms. Hence, you need to keep your spiritual eyes and ears wide open to receive it when He sends it.

Let me give you an example. The story of Elisha and his servant recorded in 2 Kings, chapter 6. It goes like this.

Israel and the Aramean army are at war. The Prophet Elisha is receiving detailed information about the military moves of the king of Arameans, and he is relating it to the king of Israel. Obviously, the Aramean king is enraged and wants to know the location of Elisha. Word comes back to the king that the Prophet is in the city of Dotham. He then proceeds to send a strong force of men to capture him.

When the servant of the Prophet gets up the next morning, he goes outside and sees the city surrounded by a numerous army of chariots and soldiers.

“Oh no, my lord! What shall we do?” the servant asked.

“Don’t be afraid,” the prophet answered. “Those who are with us are more than those who are with them.”-2Kings 6:15-16

Remember what I said in the previous paragraphs; never be afraid of the enemy. Now, you need to keep your focus on the battle. Avoid unnecessary distractions. Help will always come, keep looking for it. This is how you will encourage yourself during the spiritual attack.

Notice the servant is so afraid he’s is not realizing God had already engaged the enemy and had it surrounded. So Elisha has to pray for him.

“And Elisha prayed, “Open his eyes, Lord, so that he may see.” Then the Lord opened the servant’s eyes, and he looked and saw the hills full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.” -2Kings 6:17

Fear will always paralyze your faith. It is a distraction.

I hope you find refuge in this story. The enemy will try to get your focus away from the situation so he can take the upper hand. Do not allow this to happen to you during your spiritual attack. Always be conscious of the reality that you are not alone. Help is already on the way. Remain alert and discern where your help is coming from.

Be of good cheer, the Holy Spirit in the inside of you engages the enemy as soon as he launches his attack against you.

Lessons on Spiritual Warfare

KAIROS_1000x562_INVISIBLEWAR copyI am of the opinion that many believers either ignore or don’t have a good understanding on the topic of spiritual warfare. ScrIpture says, “My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge…” -Hosea 4:6

In today’s world, we can’t afford to ignore the plain fact that we are under siege. We are having a battle on all fronts of our lives; our families, our belief system, our marriages, our faith is being challenged every day when it comes to our spiritual well-being. We need to be properly trained on how to use our spiritual skills. We need to know how to protect our minds and hearts to overcome all the schemes of the enemy. Paul said in Ephesians chapter 6 that it was going to be like having a hand to hand combat with the enemy.

What You Need to Know

  1. Read the New Testament and become very familiar with the trials, persecution and spiritual battle confronted by the men and women given a godly assignment.
  2. The enemy is not creative. He can only repeat what he has been doing for more than 3,000 years. Therefore if you go over his schemes in the past, you will know where he is coming from.
  3. He doesn’t know the future for he is not God. He can only go by what he sees happening in the spiritual Therefore he does a lot of guessing about how things will happen. He ignores the fact that Jesus said, “I will be with you daily till the end of times…” If He is with us, then who shall be against us? We are already WINNERS! The Lord will outsmart him every time!
  4. Study very closely the life of the apostle Paul. He is perhaps outside of our Lord the most anointed individual given personal insight about how we should conduct ourselves during times of “spiritual warfare.”
  5. Know this fact. He will hide behind something natural to cause spiritual havoc. Remember, first the natural then the spiritual. “However, the spiritual is not first, but the natural, and afterward the spiritual.” -1 Corinthians 15:26

Let me give you an example. 2 weeks ago I had to be taken to the E.R. prior to a trip to the Yucatan Peninsula in Mexico to carry out a spiritual assignment. I had been feeling sick, and my doctor did not know the cause. He prescribed a pill for the pain in my stomach. Unfortunately, I took one too soon and ended up in the Emergency Room. After the fact, I realized this had been the problem. He looks for points of entry. Watch your step when undergoing a spiritual warfare battle.

“Finally, my brethren, be strong in the Lord and in the power of His might. 11 Put on the whole armor of God, that you may be able to stand against the wiles of the devil.” -Ephesians 6:10-11.

What Should We Do When Confronting Times of Transition?

four-seasonsDuring times of transition one may be consumed with terrifying thoughts.
One of them could be, “Where would I land when this season is finished.”

The apprehension on the soul about leaving behind your present season is real. The following are just a sample of transitional circumstances that can happen during your lifetime:

  1. Divorce.
  2. Loss of a loved one.
  3. Loss of employment
  4. End of a very close relationship.
  5. Going from riches to rags.
  6. Standing on the top and landing at the bottom.
  7. Going from having all the attention to being ignored by everybody.
  8. Traveling from success to failure.
  9. Experiencing the feeling of betrayal by your friends.
  10. Unexplainable and painful circumstances.

Following are key words during transition. For believers or anyone for that matter, these words are the same:

  • Be watchful.
  • Be sensitive to hear from God in your spirit man.
  • Prepare for change.
  • Prepare for pushing the reset button in your mind and emotions to find the approved God’s will for you.
  • Know, And we know that all things work together for good to those who love God, to those who are the called according to His ” –Romans. 8:28

Be Watchful.
In medieval times, there were men assigned to watch on the outside wall of castles. They could see miles away when an enemy was coming. Their job was just to watch! During times of transition due to the nature of the season we can be easily distracted or focused on the wrong thing. These things can happen because we are very sensitive to our circumstances of transition not knowing for sure what’s ahead or what to do next. So, we are conditioned to quickly respond to everything that moves or focus on the wrong thing. We all need to learn to be still, alert and utilize these times to develop our hearing ear. I remember what Larry Leah used to say, “Develop Mickey Mouse ears. Prayer, with no doubt, is a discipline we can all exercise and intensify during transition.

Be Sensitive To Hear From God In Your Spirit Man .
God is always speaking; the problem is, most of the time, we are not on His same frequency. Let me illustrate this. The next time you want to select a radio station while driving do the following. Set your tuner to your favorite AM Station. Then after listening for one or two minutes just press the FM button. Instantly you will hear sounds. Either music or someone will be talking. Notice you haven’t moved the dial. The only thing it changed was the frequency!

This simple test explains what I just said about God always speaking. He is. We just need to engage with Him on the spiritual frequency He is on. He uses all means of communication and if you want to be successful concerning your next move during your transition, then you must exercise your hearing capability. He uses circumstances, people, even animals. He can use a picture on the wall or someone talking on TV. All you need is to become a student of His voice and your spirit man will slowly develop this capacity. Begin today and during your next time of transition, you will be better equipped to hear His voice.

Comeback next month for the next Blog on this topic.
